Potjiekos Competitions is a popular team building event in Pretoria. Popular venues in Pretoria for Potjiekos Competitions include the Pretoria Zoo, Pretoria Botanical Garden, and the Historical Terrain in Centurion. But we can have your Potjiekos Competition at any venue.



09h00 - Coffee, Muffins, Cheese Savories, Mini Yogurts

09h20 - Ice Breakers and Fun Group Activities
Ice Breakers include “People to People”, “38”, “Ching Cho Cha”, etc.

10h00 - Green Screen Movie Making
Teams act in front of a Green Screen for 12 seconds, and without knowing why. The video is then edited in the Amazing Race TV Show with backgrounds such as the Eifel Tower, Great Pyramids, Big Wall of China, Donald Trump, Bafana Bafana etc. Simply hilarious. This video is shown after lunch.

11h00 - Dividing Teams ±10pp/team
The entire group stand in a circle and everybody get a number. All the “number 1’s” would be in a team, and all the “number 2’s” in another team, etc. Allow about ten people per team

11h00 - Refreshments
Fruit Juices (200ml), Bottled Water, and Assorted Sandwiched (individually wrapped). Sandwiches include Chick Mayo, Cheese & Tom, etc.

11h00 - Potjiekos Mystery Boxes
Each team receives a Mystery Box. Not all the boxes have the same ingredients in. Teams have to swop or trade ingredients with other teams. Ingredients include oil, veggies, herbs, and spices.

• New Cooking Utensils - new disposable utensils (halaal), veggie knives, spoons, cutting boards, mixing bowls, mop caps, chef hats, aprons, gloves
• No 3 Potjies - serves ±12 people
• Meat - Chicken, and Lamb (beef optional), all meat from Laudium halaal Butchery 082 308 4339, ask for receipt. We regret, no pork)

Lunch Potjies are Served & Soft Drinks
Potjies are served with pap, rolls, assorted salads, and assorted salads. 340ml can Coke, Sprite, Cream Soda etc.

Special Dietary Requirements
Vegetarian Meals – Potjie
Vegan Meals - Potjie, no animal products, no eggs, no milk
Halaal Meals - all meat, produce, and sauces are halaal, ask for receipt
Kosher Meals - ordered from Totally Kosher, 3 cuts of meat with starch and Veg (usually chicken, wors & a chop). Add R300 for delivery

Alcoholic Beverages - bring own

Depart at Leisure. Bring own alcoholic beverages. The zoo is closing at 17h00
